What happened

Insider Gaming published a correction explaining that its August 22 report about a threat to release a full GTA 6 build relied on fabricated material. The author said an image and the surrounding discussion had been falsely attributed to the Cyberleek entity, and withdrew the original report. The publisher also noted that later commentary continued to spread the erroneous claim.

What remains unclear

GTA6GuideAI previously carried that threat claim. We withdraw it and have redirected the obsolete story to this correction. The retraction does not establish whether any person possesses a complete build, and speculation about a backup release mechanism is not evidence. No conclusion about such access should be drawn from the false image. This correction preserves the original publication history and makes the error explicit.
