What happened
Rockstar's June 24 press release said GTA 6 preorders would open June 25 at midnight local time. It announced a November 19, 2026 launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with US prices of $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate. The release describes Ultimate's additional vehicles, weapons, apparel and story-linked content. It also lists the Vintage Vice City Pack for qualifying purchases before November 20 and a month of GTA+ with digital preorders.
What remains unclear
Digital preloading is scheduled to start November 12. The physical package is described as a download code inside a box, available from that date to support preloading; this does not mean playing early.
